The new Oil City swimming pool cost approximately 1.4 million dollars so far. I understand that much of the money has been from donations rather than local taxes. They still need to raise more monies for fencing and to update the locker rooms. It's dedicated to Peg Nelles Neal's father, since he worked for the city for 64 years. They will put a plaque on the front of the building honoring Jim Nelles for his years of service./Ted & Carol Thomas Krawiec. |
